Acct Change

Thu Jan 22, 2009, 9:11 AM
OI,

So I'll be changing this acct. eventually to being ... not here.

Add Necrosapiens as that's where I'll be adding new stuff, if you haven't already.

I have pictures from last semester's artwork, so I'll be getting that up as soon as I do some crappy cropping. They are not perfect or professional shots, but they should be sufficient for here.

I'll get them up tonight, if I can break away from ... I'll get them up tonight. :d

I don't seem to do with the uploading of artwork well. I'd promise you some, but I can't say I'd be telling the truth.

The fact of the matter is that I've done some artwork, mostly sketching, doodling, and random acts of creativity. I have no way of uploading it. No scanner, and to put up a webcam picture of a piece of art is discusting at best.

So if you do watch me or anything of that sort, you've been warned.

Journal #2

I broke down and bought an mp3 player yesterday. I got a Zen Stone. Cheaper than an iPod shuffle, larger capacity (although they lie... 1.87 gb != 2 gb ... asses ... could be firmware or something that shares the memory though?) It's just for playing music in my car because I don't want to cart around $100s of cds and have to purchase a cd player just for using in a tape deck.

The chess board is all cut out and sanded down. I need to do some fine sanding. I removed the burrs but it still could cut someone pretty deep, I'm sure.

My Kenya Coffee came yesterday. It's great. Really bright cup. My pallate is not refined enough to pick out the good flavors...but hopefully with time I can get there.

I am going to go get ready for work but I thought I'd give a little update.

Hmm...

Well as always, I purged my journal entries. A clearing of the mind's clutter, so to speak.

It'd be nice if one could delete all of them (ie checkboxes) instead of deleting each manually.

I've got some works in progress, believe it or not. I just have to finish them, forbid it.

One's a custom chess board, instead of squares using hexes. I want to be able to play a variant of chess on it called McCooey's variant. The board is already cut out of sheet metal. I got to use my dremel that I got for my birthday. I just need to sand it and paint the hexes on it, then paint the pieces...sounds simple, right?

The other is still those runes. One broke when I was sanding it, so I got angry and took a break from it.

I've started sketching a bit as well. Mostly symbols. I seem to have an affinity for symbolic artwork as opposed to "realistic" art, though I should be practicing everything as much as I can.

In other news, I'm looking to purchase some fans for my computer. One intake is going out in the front. Disappointing.

Other news is I'm working my way through Starcraft. I've nearly finished the first game and will be working on the expansion soon. With Starcraft II coming out eventually, I figured I needed to actually play through the missions. I was never great at SC but my friends and I have a lot of memories with it.

That's all for now.
